The Company

Henderson Insurance was founded in 1972 and has specialized at insuring dry cleaners since its inception. Over its 38 year history Henderson has served various specialty niche industries such as dentistry, residential care homes, fast food and gas stations. Since 2002 Henderson has narrowed its focus to serve only dry cleaners. Henderson provides insurance to thousands of dry cleaners throughout the western United States.

The Owners

Henderson Insurance is owned and managed by Scott Henderson and Michael Lauchlan. Scott attended UC Berkeley. Prior to working at Henderson Scott was an Audit Manager at the accounting firm of PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Scott is a CPA and a licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster and has worked at Henderson for 24 years. Michael attended UC Santa Cruz prior to joining Henderson. Michael is an expert programmer and created Henderson's agency management system. Michael has worked at Henderson for 26 years.

The Staff

The Henderson Insurance underwriting staff have 67 years of cumulative dry cleaner insurance experience. Adding Scott's and Michael's experience to the staff's experience gives Henderson employees 117 years of dry cleaner insurance experience. The Henderson staff includes a former dry cleaner who currently is a board member of the California Cleaners Association and who was formerly the association's president.
